General Grievous Lightsabers – Four-Blade Fan Sabers
General Grievous brought a different kind of fear to the Clone Wars. He had no Force sensitivity, yet he hunted Jedi with their own weapons.
This cyborg commander served the Confederacy with ruthless tactical precision. Count Dooku trained him in lightsaber combat, helping the cyborg develop the skills to challenge experienced Jedi.
Grievous collected lightsabers from Jedi he defeated or disarmed, turning their weapons into trophies and tools of intimidation. Each trophy became part warning, part weapon, and part twisted victory display.
At Spectra Sabers, the General Grievous fan saber collection captures that menace. XenoPixel V3 technology adds vivid blade effects, responsive sound, and motion controls.
Neopixel blades also make spinning effects feel more cinematic during display. Choose a build that suits your collection, cosplay, or controlled dueling plans.
General Grievous?
In Star Wars Legends, General Grievous was originally a Kaleesh warrior named Qymaen jai Sheelal. His transformation into a cyborg eventually turned him into one of the Separatists' most feared military leaders. After a devastating crash left him critically injured, Grievous underwent extensive cybernetic reconstruction that transformed him into the cyborg commander seen during the Clone Wars.
Count Dooku shaped him into the Separatist Droid Army’s Supreme Commander. He also trained Grievous in lightsaber combat and Jedi fighting patterns.
What made Grievous especially dangerous was that he could challenge Jedi without being Force-sensitive. He relied on cybernetic strength, speed, multiple weapons, and the lightsaber training he received from Count Dooku.
That combination made him a feared Jedi hunter throughout the Clone Wars. His trophy collection gave every encounter an extra layer of menace.
Grievous took sabers from Jedi he defeated or disarmed in battle. Blue and green blades are strongly associated with his captured Jedi weapons and his familiar four-saber combat style.
He led the attack on Coruscant and captured Chancellor Palpatine. Later, Obi-Wan Kenobi confronted him during the Battle of Utapau.
Kenobi ultimately ended the cyborg general with a blaster shot. The official Star Wars Databank describes Grievous as a feared Jedi hunter and Separatist strategist, known for his ruthlessness and distinctive cough.

Spectra Sabers combines menacing character styling with modern electronic features. Selected XenoPixel V3 configurations boards power individually addressable pixel-blade LEDs for vivid pre-on effects.
Smooth swing technology changes the hum as you move. Flash-on-clash effects respond when the blade makes controlled contact.
Supported effects may include lockup, drag, blaster deflect, stab, and melt. These details make each movement feel more reactive and cinematic.
You can also explore stable, unstable, pulse, fire, and rainbow blade styles. Infinite colour options let you build a classic blue-green trophy pairing.
Selected XenoPixel V3 configurations support Bluetooth-based customization through a compatible app. Adjust volume, blade brightness, sound fonts, and motion sensitivity more easily.
Rechargeable batteries support longer sessions between charges. Use a 5V 1A adapter for safe charging and reliable performance.
A durable metal hilt gives each build a solid feel. However, always use proper protective gear during any contact-based saber activity.
General Grievous’ Lightsaber Collection
Most characters carry one saber throughout their journeys. Grievous carried four in battle and stored many more as trophies.
His collection represented more than a collection of weapons. Every hilt reminded the Jedi that another opponent had fallen before them.
The blue and green blades reflected common Jedi colour traditions. Blue often appeared among combat-focused Jedi, while green often represented more contemplative Jedi paths.
In canon stories, Grievous collected or temporarily took lightsabers from Jedi he defeated, disarmed, or confronted. His trophy collection became part of his reputation as a feared Jedi hunter.
In Star Wars Legends, Grievous' collection was expanded through additional stories featuring captured Jedi weapons and trophy sabers.
Every blade taken afterward strengthened his horrifying reputation. The General Grievous fan saber collection honours that blue-green trophy aesthetic.

Frequently Asked Questions
Grievous' best-known lightsabers were blue and green because many of the Jedi weapons he collected carried those blade colours.
General Grievous collected sabers from Jedi he defeated or disarmed. Since blue and green blades were common among Jedi, those became his signature colours.
Blue blades are often linked with combat-focused Jedi traditions. Green blades are commonly associated with Jedi who valued wisdom and Force study.
Grievous used the Jedi Order’s own weapons against it. That created a psychological edge before every confrontation even began.
Seeing four Jedi-coloured blades told opponents that others had already failed. The weapons became trophies, threats, and tools of intimidation.
Grievous did not earn his first saber in battle. Count Dooku gave him a Jedi weapon after his cyborg reconstruction.
In Star Wars Legends, Grievous' first lightsaber was connected to Jedi Master Sifo-Dyas. Dooku reportedly gave the weapon to Grievous after Sifo-Dyas' death. This is a Legends detail and should not be treated as current canon. In current canon, the Jedi later recovered Sifo-Dyas' lightsaber from the wreckage of his shuttle on Oba Diah's moon.
This connection remains a Legends detail, not a universal current-canon confirmation. Current sources confirm that Dooku gave Grievous a saber from a deceased Jedi.
Every saber Grievous took after that first gift became part of his trophy collection. His vault eventually held far more weapons than his four active blades.
There is no strong canon basis for saying Mace Windu was afraid of General Grievous. Windu recognised the threat Grievous posed to the Jedi Order, but that is different from being personally afraid of him.
Mace Windu was not afraid of General Grievous. However, he recognised Grievous as a uniquely dangerous threat to the Jedi Order.
Grievous had no Force presence for Jedi to sense. He also used combat patterns learned through Dooku’s training and mechanical analysis.
The claim that Windu crushed Grievous’ chest comes from the 2003 Clone Wars micro-series. That event is part of Legends continuity rather than current canon.
In that story, the attack damaged Grievous’ lungs and caused his famous cough. The official canon confirms the cough, though it does not establish that same origin.starwars+1
Windu’s concern came from strategic judgment, not fear. Grievous proved that a non-Force combatant could still threaten experienced Jedi.
General Grievous is known for wielding four lightsabers simultaneously during combat. He also maintained a larger collection of captured lightsabers beyond the four weapons he commonly used in battle. His mechanical arms split at the elbows, creating four independent fighting limbs.
That design lets him attack with four separate weapon arcs at once. It also makes his movements difficult for a single opponent to track.
The four blades formed his active combat loadout. Beyond those weapons, Grievous stored many other captured hilts as trophies in his lair.
His collection included sabers from Jedi he defeated, disarmed, or temporarily overpowered. That vault helped define his image as the Clone Wars’ most notorious Jedi hunter.
